This exhibit contains records of the original Donald Ross golf course designs which are housed in the Tufts Archives. Ross came to Pinehurst at the turn of the century and began working for the Tufts in 1900, during the season, as a club maker, teacher and golf course architect. During his tenure at Pinehurst, which lasted until his death in 1948, Ross amended the first course, created his masterpiece, Pinehurst No. 2, and went on to complete No.3 and No. 4.
